Restoring the Promise
The American Dream that once inspired the Horatio Alger tales of rags to riches is a unique phenomenon that was only possible in the United States: a land whose founding documents promised individual liberty, property rights and independence from tyranny to every citizen.
The American Dream, which built the United States into the envy of the world, has been stolen by progressives and socialists, who have decided that the promise of freedom is unfair, that inequality is evil, that dependence on the government is preferable to self-reliance and the accumulation of wealth.
In the name of our children and grandchildren, we must reclaim the American Dream from those who would criminalize success, from those who would punish job creators, from those who have rejected the fundamental values that made this Nation a beacon of hope to the lost and has allowed its people to rise as the most charitable heroes in the history of the world.
As a U.S. Senator I will never apologize for the greatness that is the United States of America.
Restoring Prosperity
In order to restore prosperity to America, certainty must be restored to the free market. Market certainty is generated by sound fiscal policies developed and delivered by both Congress and the White House. Investors are more likely to risk their capital when the economic policies and accountability practices of Washington provide clear indications of what the future holds.
As a U.S. Senator I will consider it my duty to restore the mining and drilling sectors of the American economy. Responsible energy independence is achievable and represents a national security priority.
Saving the private healthcare industry over the next six years, as millions of baby boomers enter retirement, represents the single largest challenge for tomorrow’s legislators.
Restoring the promise of prosperity to New Mexico and America will require courageous leaders not career politicians. A vote for Greg Sowards is a vote to reclaim the American Dream and end the era of punishment politics that has gripped Washington DC.
